No. AmbiWebZ is lightweight by design — it only activates when you click the Webzi button. The sidebar runs in an isolated shadow DOM and doesn't interfere with the page you're browsing. Most users don't notice it's there until they need it.
On virtually every website — news sites, shops, forums, PDFs, social media, even internal documentation. If Chrome can open it, AmbiWebZ can run on it. You can also blacklist specific domains in Settings if you'd rather not see it on certain sites.
In most cases, no. AmbiWebZ runs inside your browser as a Chrome extension, so websites generally cannot detect or interfere with it. However, some sites with very strict Content Security Policies may limit certain extension features. Even in those rare cases, the extension itself stays installed and functional — no platform can take that away.
Absolutely. We don't sell or share your data — ever. Your data is stored on servers in Frankfurt, Germany (EU) with encrypted connections. We only collect what's needed to make the service work: your username, the URLs where you comment, and your content. You can export or delete all your data anytime from Settings. We take this seriously. Every user can report posts. Low-quality content gets automatically blurred based on community votes (the "Low Vibe" filter). Repeat offenders get muted or banned. The AmbiScore reputation system rewards quality — the more helpful you are, the higher your standing. Read our Community Guidelines for the full breakdown.
Yes. Premium users can enable Anonymous Mode in Settings — your posts will appear as "Anonymous" instead of your username. Combined with the domain blacklist (preventing the extension from loading on certain sites), you're always in control of your visibility.
Your AmbiScore is your community reputation. It goes up when people upvote your posts and down when they downvote. As you grow, you unlock ranks (Hatchling → Weaver → Orb-Weaver → Goliath) and earn badges for milestones. It's a way to reward people who contribute meaningful discussions rather than noise.
Right now, AmbiWebZ is available as a Chrome extension — that also covers Chromium-based browsers like Edge, Brave, Arc, and Opera. Firefox and Safari support is on our roadmap. A mobile companion app is also planned for the future.
Yes — at any time. Go to Settings → Account → "Delete Account" and everything gets permanently removed: posts, notes, bookmarks, badges, presence data – all gone. You can also export your data as JSON before deleting. We believe your data belongs to you, period.
